Virtual Office Assistant FAQ

VIRTUAL ASSISTANT FAQ

What is a virtual assistant?
A virtual assistant (typically abbreviated to VA, also called a virtual office assistant) is an entrepreneur who provides professional administrative, technical, or creative (social) assistance to clients from an offsite home office.

What is the benefit to your company when you employ the services of a VA?
Because we are independent contractors, your company won’t be liable for employee related taxes, benefits or retrenchments. Because of the fact that we are home based, you won’t have the logistical problem of providing extra office space, equipment or supplies.

What services do VA’s provide to businesses?
We offer a full range of options. Clients can customize their remote administration services to meet their exact needs. We offer bookkeeping, reception, office administration, online diary management, HR and transcription typing. See our ‘Virtual Assistant’ page for our full range of services.

How does payment work?
The contract that we draw up with you will state: ‘As we are a private contractor, all invoices are payable 7 days from the date of invoice.’ All work is quoted for beforehand and a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) is drawn up to ensure that both parties are covered. All work is undertaken with the strictest of confidentiality.
